ecView provides InterTrade customers with a complete view on their B2B/ EDI e-business transactions through a secure and user-friendly Web interface. Complete visibility
ecView is a web-based application that allows users to monitor in real-time all their business document traffic as processed by the TradeLinks platform. It allows unified management for all file formats (EDI, XML, IDOC…) and all communication protocols (VAN, AS2, FTP…) supported by TradeLinks.
With ecView, InterTrade customers have complete visibility on all their business data exchanges, with customers, suppliers, resellers and any of the third party partners involved in e-business transactions (financial services, transportation, warehousing, logistics, etc.).
Simple to use
ecView makes it easy to:
- Search for documents by partner, transaction type, date and many other criteria;
- View headers and other envelope data for EDI and proprietary formats;
- View complete file contents both before and after transformation;
- Identify problem documents;
- Navigate between transactions and related functional acknowledgements;
- Create reports and export data to formats usable by other tools;
- Reprocess and resend files.
Powerful search capabilities
A key feature of any monitoring tool is the ability to search. ecView offers an easy-to-use, always-on menu that allows documents to be searched and filtered by a number of criteria including:
- Trading partner name or EDI identifier
- Document type
- Transaction delivery status
- Acknowledgement status
- Product or test mode
- Arrival date (by period)
- Business number (PO number, invoice number…)
- X12 EDI Control Numbers.
Searches can be saved for later reuse. Saved searches can be run periodically and sent
as email reports.
Flexible
ecView provides users with a very flexible tool allowing them to customize the display of their screen. They can select which columns they want to see or hide, reorder or resize columns as well as define the sorting parameters.
Secure
ecView provides comprehensive security using state-of-the-art Web technologies such as SSL encryption, user / password authentication and a role based mechanism. Read-only user roles are available to limit reprocessing rights to specific users.
Optimized for lines of business users
ecView user interface caters both to EDI coordinators and to lines of business users. People less familiar with EDI specific terminology can easily find their documents using partner names, document types and business numbers such as PO or invoice numbers. They can also visualize the business content of their transactions in a nicely printable format displaying detailed field definitions.
ecView Advanced
The ecView advanced module provides additional productivity and collaboration features.
For example, saved searches created by ecView power users can be shared with other people in their organization. When EDI coordinators communicate with trading partners who have not sent their functional acknowledgement, they can also publish the actual transaction status to other people using the manual acknowledgement feature. Multiple business fields can be extracted from a document, allowing for complex searches such as looking for invoices or ASN by using the related PO number.
